Colomiers, France, Home Exchange
AlteCocker's 52nd home exchange was in Colomiers, France. Colomiers is a suburb of Toulouse and is not too interesting by itself. Most people work for Airbus--the main industry in Toulouse. AlteCocker did take a tour of the Airbus Facility but photos are strictly barred while on site--which is why there are no photos other than at the entry "hanger". The tour is very interesting, but the signage is nonexistent. Everyone gets lost getting there because there is no sign at the exit and then no sign after you exit to get to the tour entrance.
In addition to a photo of the house photos of the suburb are included. As always, it takes a bit of doing to learn how to get around at first. By the time you are comfortable with the driving and where everything is, the home exchange is over.
Insofar as the McDonald's photos are concerned, AlteCocker finds the way McDonald's adapts to local markets fascinating. McDonald's was the only place open in the neighborhood on Sunday nights. Due to air conditioning, it was often crowded. AlteCocker at there once during her stay in Colomiers just to check it out.
